Initial Contact

Thanks for reaching out! Once we receive your request, we will follow up with you to schedule an introductory phone call. During this 15 minute phone call, we will get to know you, your project, and how we can help. We will have a few questions on the particulars for your project (schedule, budget, and more) We will also discuss a design budget. If it sounds like we are a great fit for each other, we will schedule an on-site meeting.

On Site Consultation

Our design team will schedule a meeting at your property. The purpose of this 60 minute meeting is to gain a clear understanding of your inspiration for transforming your outdoor living space. We will discuss your goals, priorities, project budget, and assess the property for on-site conditions. You will have lots of questions for us, and we will have some for you as well. We will provide a design questionnaire to stimulate your thoughts for the design. Following the meeting, we will provide you with a design proposal. Once the proposal is accepted we will get started on the plan.

Concept Design

This is where the fun really begins. Our design team will return to site to fully analyze the property with measurements, drone footage, photographs, grades and more. At this stage, we will request any property information (site surveys, building plans, inspiration images) as we get started on the design. We research any permits that will be required, by-laws, and other particulars for the site.

The result is a scaled two dimensional concept plan that shows layout possibilities, inspiration images, and other key elements. As the project starts to take form, we also provide an itemized budget for the total cost of the project.

Review Meeting

After 1-2 weeks, we will have a concept ready and were excited to share it with you. We will schedule a followup meeting at our office to review the plan and budget in more detail. Feedback is a key component to the process to make sure we are aligned with the solution. We will make any revisions as we refine the plan towards the finished product. Its typical to have two meetings along the way.

3D Design

This is the stage where you can really visualize your dream. What you see is what you get! 3D design really makes communication effortless with how your outdoor space will look and function. We provide a photorealistic rendering of the property that shows scale, material selections, and grades with perfect clarity. This allows you to make informed decisions as we finalize your design. In a second review meeting, we review the updated plans and budget with you and make any final changes to the plan.

Cost Estimation

This is where the value of design really pays off. Once the plan is finalized, we will provide a detailed cost estimate for the project. Whether it is a phase in a master plan, or a complete project we will be able to provide an accurate cost for the project. We will have all the necessary information to avoid any missed expectations or rework to eliminate costly change orders later in the project. You can make an informed decision on your investment knowing that the details have been worked out.

Construction Contract

Once the work is approved on the estimate. We will provide a contract and customer agreement for your review and signature. You will be introduced to our construction team who will provide a start date, schedule, and next steps. We will also handle any permits, or submittals that are required.
