Dingle Park Playground

Under a tight timeline, this municipal project came together for the local community in the fall of 2016. After a long haul of surveying and earthmoving to provide a proper drainage system, it was time to build these one-of-a-kind features. This playground is HRM’s first naturalized playground, where all features are built from natural wood posts, to log jam steppers.

As such a unique project for a municipality, we were anxious to see how the local community would respond and we were pleasantly surprised! After all the local media surrounding this distinct playground, there was a following of children and parents waiting outside the site fence for the final inspection. As the fence was opened so were the floodgates and the playground has been enjoyed by Haligonians ever since.
